Join us at Hanson House for a special celebration!

A special celebration is being held in the Notts village of Linby on Sunday 6 September – and everyone is invited!

The event marks 40 years since Girlguiding Nottinghamshire opened Hanson House on Linby Lane (NG15 8AG), turning what was the old village school into a holiday house and training centre for members of Girlguiding and their families. The management team which runs the centre is holding an open day to mark the anniversary and have invited the local community to join members of Notts Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Senior Section units and their families in a day of celebrations.

Visitors are invited to bring their own picnics and are welcome to call in any time from 11.00am to 3.00pm in order to sample activities ranging from maypole dancing and garden games to have-a-go craft stalls and a bouncy castle. A raffle and tombola will be running alongside a cake stall and refreshments, and a singsong round the campfire from 2.15pm onwards has been promised.

Inside Hanson House itself, a display will show the history of the centre and will give visitors the opportunity to find out more about volunteering with Girlguiding Nottinghamshire.

Entry is free, and parking is available off nearby Quarry Lane. We hope to see you there!
