Join our County PR Team!

We are looking for a team of members to join our PR as Marketing and Communications Advisers for the County.

This is an excellent opportunity to become more involved in guiding on a county-level, as well as to develop new skills and experience something new.

The role of the team has grown over the years, so there is an opportunity for roles and responsibilities to be shared between a small team of people. We’re looking for enthusiastic members to help us provide support in different areas.

Roles and responsibilities include:

  • Key Contact for the County PR team – chairing PR meetings, liaising with our Press Agent and leading on planning for County communications.
  • Event Support – providing PR event support for members on a Local, Division and county-level.
  • Press Interviews – organising and arranging press interviews, primarily at larger scale events.
  • Social media and website support – updating our social media accounts and support the County Office in maintaining the website.
  • Awards Committee Representative – helping promote awards nominations, as well as providing PR coverage for the Awards Afternoon.
  • Growing Guiding –  leading on initiatives to recruit volunteers and members, attending volunteers fairs and events.
  • Resources and partnerships – helping to develop, communicate and promote resources to our members

Read more about these roles in the Marketing and Communications roles and responsibilities document.

If you have any queries, please contact Kayleigh Hunt at pr@girlguidingnottinghamshire.org.uk.  The next PR meeting is Wednesday 6th July at 7.30pm at Guide HQ in Carlton.  All are welcome.
