E: Walking@girlguidingnottinghamshire.org.uk

I have been a Guide leader for over 10 years initially in Ernehale Division and now in Wolds Division, I am a Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award holder as well as Level 2 of Girlguiding’s Walking Scheme. As part of the County Team I am an Expedition Supervisor for the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme at Bronze and Silver level. Currently I am a stay at home mum. In my spare time (!) I enjoy walking and baking.”

Rachel is here to answer any queries relating to walking and to help equip Guiders with the training, experience and skills they need to get your girls out and about. Walking doesn’t have to be a full-day hike up Kinder Scout (though it can be)… wherever you walk, however long the distance, it can definitely be fun for you and your girls. Getting out and about in the countryside, in the town or the park is a great way to give your girls a breath of fresh air and a lot of beautiful, different views. It can also teach them many skills including teamwork and leadership.
