The Senior Section of Guiding is for young women aged 14-25. You can be a member in lots of ways; just having fun with your friends, completing awards, or training to receive your Adult Leadership Qualification as a Guider at age 18 – a qualification which looks great on your CV.
You don’t have to know how to put up a tent or light a fire to enjoy guiding at this level! But, you will get the chance to try lots of new things and probably to travel.
You’ll gain more confidence, and be better prepared for dealing with life beyond school, college, or work.
Rangers is just one of the several branches of the Senior Section. Rangers belong to Ranger Units, open to girls from 14 to 26 years old. They can pursue any or all of several schemes, such as Look Wider, The Queen’s Guide and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
Young Leaders are aged 14 to 18 and work with a Rainbow, Brownie or Guide unit. They might be working towards their Young Leader Qualification or the adult Leadership Qualification, as well as participating in other Senior Section opportunities. They are supported by a Young Leader Leader and link with other members of The Senior Section when they choose.
